Problem
Twice a year, six universities in Atlanta combine forces to present the Discover the Executive Masters in Business Administration Event. Each university takes on a different role.
Approach
When it was Georgia Tech College of Management’s turn to handle promoting and registering attendees, they searched for an online tool to simplify the process.
Solution
Georgia Tech chose Elliance's Ennect Event tool for a variety of reasons. The biggest advantage was that they could activate, deactivate and then later reactivate the event Web site for the next event, since the same group of universities holds this event routinely twice a year. This means they don’t have to reinvent the wheel. They are also able to export the registered attendees and send the list out electronically to the other schools.
Impact
It was easy for attendees to go to the site, find out additional information and register immediately. Georgia Tech didn’t have to deal with phone calls asking for more info, because it was all right there on the event Web site. Once registered, attendees received an automatic confirmation e-mail with their registration number. Plus, the universities captured the e-mail addresses of potential students.
